Deposition

Introductory Video

Video depositions are shot digitally to ensure high quality and easier editing. Quality audio is captured with individual lavaliere microphones and a mixer. A continuous date/time stamp is encoded in the original recording and displayed on the screen. A backdrop is provided. Video and audio backups ensure secure recordings. The final deliverables are available in a multitude of formats and resolutions to meet your needs.

We are Certified Deposition Video Specialists with the American Guild of Court Videographers. Video depositions are recorded according to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.

We will work with the court reporting firm of your choosing, engage one for you where we have an existing relationship, or work with you independently.

Depositions can be filmed in any resolution you prefer or converted to it.

Documentary

A documentary can take many forms: settlement, wrongful death, day-in-the-life, etc.1 We work with the attorney in advance to develop messaging, content, interviews, storyboard, and script. The video can include interviews with key witnesses and experts, family, friends, and images (e.g., wreckage) as approprate. The sample to the right is a documentary on Wine and Winemaking to illustrate the basic skills.

We will tell the story in high definition using multiple cameras, as needed, to capture interviews and other images to reinforce key moments during the narrative, and use hand-held cameras with motion stabilizers to enable freedom of movement as needed. We’ll also bring lighting, microphones, and recorders.

We are a small agency that produces quality work. Projects are typically done with a one or two-person team but the crew can be expanded as needed. This keeps our cost and yours down2 and typically makes the interviews more comfortable for everyone. Of course in this model, we are not right for every job but we'll gladly let you know when that is the case.
1 A settlement documentary is not generally admissible in court, is not bound by the rules of evidence, and is typically targeted at mediation. Day-in-the-life is generally created for submission in trial and is subject to the rules of evidence.

2Every job is fixed price plus expenses to eliminate any conflict of interest associated with billable hours. Any changes which are necessary due to scope, expenses, etc. will be addressed through a change request.
